The students at Wheatland Community Day School will be provided with:

A personalized and individualized learning experience given in a kind, caring, and structured atmosphere.
  • Counseling services will be provided during pre-enrollment and on a weekly basis to assist students with personal, social, educational, and career goals.
  • Instructional facilities will promote a positive learning environment using the latest in technology and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Facilities and instructional materials shall motivate students to learn in a non-threatening atmosphere.
  • Certificated staff will provide a program that will nurture and promote learning and personal success for all students.
  • Processes and programs will be in place that will promote a positive self-image and sense of satisfaction.

  • Students will develop and maintain the fundamental skills of computing, reading, writing, speaking, listening, and accessing information.
  • Students will achieve and retain basic study skills and the ability to locate standard reference materials using a variety of methods including the Internet.
  • Students will develop skills to examine issues and make informed, well-planned decisions.

A knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the environment and culture or cultures in which we live.
  • Students will develop an understanding of the relationships within the planet Earth to possible relationships in the universe.
  • Students will develop an understanding of the way lifestyles are affected by the many technological developments taking place in our world.
  • Students will become aware of basic cultural and physical factors that form a foundation for understanding the past, present, and future world.
